Driver issues with Vista

I recently Installed Windows Vista. Because my NIC card does not support Vista, I had to use the USB port. Unfortunetly Vista prompts me for the NTL USB cable modem driver, which I don't have. I was wondering if anyone could give me a link or point me in the right direction of where I can find the latest driver

Re: Driver issues with Vista

hmm, it's even less likely that there is a Vista compatible USB driver for the connection. Ethernet is more reliable so that USB is really only for older PCs. Those running Vista should really have a network card.

Are there no emulation drivers that would make your NIC work under Vista?

Re: Driver issues with Vista

Yes you will probably need ethernet in Vista anyway.

Once you have a new card, you may also come across the VM software (when you run it) not detecting your NIC in vista (especially if you run Vista x64) - I had that with a pretty standard broadcom gigabit onboard NIC, but you can type in the CM's registration page directly into your browser to finish the setup if that happens.

I can't remember what i typed in off hand (at work at the moment) but can let you know if that is a problem for you later.
