How do you people find the Motarola for reliability!
Much better than the cheap Ambits NTL/Virgin Media provide!

I've had the SB4100 since day 1, way back when it was Cabletel (about 5-6 years now), never given me a problem! I'd expect your model as it's newer to be just as good.

Yeah my Motarola is very reliable or has been until recently the "online" light just flashes... I had to go down to my Motarola 4200 to get online

I have been using the Motorola SB 5100 for the last 2 years or so now and never had a problem with it at all.
Found it to be very reliable and it can handle a downstream of 38MB so my new VM 16MB is working fine and dandy.

Well it's using "Sigma X 1.0 RC4" Firmware...

It has a problem with BCM... something... :s

Never had a prob ever on the 5100.
I do know there is another new modem that VM are dishing out, not sure of the model.
