What UBR am i connected to ?

Hello, first post here

I'm trying to find out what UBR i'm connected to. I've used the connections thingie at the top of the page and get the following output

***.***.***.***cable.ubr01.linl.blueyonder.co.uk

I've blocked out my ip with ***'s btw

Can anybody shed some light on which UBR i am connect to please ? I'm in Scotland.

I would guess that "linl" is for Linthgow since thats near me ? If so which UBR is that connected to to ? Uddingston, Edinburgh or Glasgow ?

Your on UBR 1 in the Linthgow area. Thats your UBR, not any near cities.

For example, im next to croydon, and my UBR is ubr07.croy.blueyonder.co.uk - Croydon.

So i'm not on the list for upgrade to the 20 Mb service.

Only Edinburgh, Renfrew and Uddingston area's are listed.

I spoke to a chap at Virgin Media on Tuesday (Indian Call Center) who told me it would be this month but to be honest he could have been saying anything i couln't understand what he was saying...

Anybody in my area ?

I live in Angel, North London and i haven't got a clue what "dals" is a shortening of??

I am trying to figure out when I will get the 20mbit upgrade. There doesn't seem to be anything remotely close to me on the upgrade schedule, they are all miles out of the centre (http://allyours.virginmedia.com/html.../schedule.html).

Please help!

I -think- it's refering to "Dalston" - a small area in Hackney. I myself have a *.ubr02.dals.blueyonder.co.uk line and wouldn't mind knowing which one I should be looking out for on the list. The closest on the list to me would be Poplar, would that be it?

Poplar serves the formerly-NTL part of the VM network - unlikely to be you if you're ex-Telewest.
