Re: Signal strenghs?

You can boost the signal on your router by using 3rd party firmware such as DD-WRT.

Re: Signal strenghs?

Before you try putting different firmware on the router have you tried changing the wireless channel?

Re: Signal strenghs?

If you go on http://192.168.1.1 Click on Wireless > Basic Settings then you'll be able to try out different wireless channels.

alot of the linksys GS routers now are v5 and v6 (mine is av6) and flashing these are virtually impossible and not worth trying according to the dd-wrt site but saying that i get a pretty good signal, the router is downstairs in the main room im upstairs and the walls are pretty think in the house and get about 18 -36 depending on if doors are open
