Re: what is virgn?

Are you on the ADSL service via a telephone line or are you on cable BB? If you were initially set up without the wireless router in place then try powering your PC, router and modem/ STB down.
Check all connections (BB input should plug into your WAN port), power up the modem/ STB, wait for lights to lock and settle, power up the router, wait for lights to lock/ settle and then power up your PC.

Re: what is virgn?

Have you turned WEP on in the router or any kind of security setting? If so you have to match it in the settings of your PCs.

Re: what is virgn?

Do a factory reset on the router. I have the same router and all I had to do was plug it into my modem and it worked. Then added the security later...

Re: what is virgn?

okay on Win98 (which I hope is SE) do the following.

go to start --> run ---> type in "winipcfg" (without the ") then select "release all" and after that "renew all" this normally should connect your wlan adapter.

but my personal opinion is DO NOT USE WIN98 for wlan its a too much trouble for when it goes wrong.
