Programing a V+ Remote.

Hi All,
try as I might I just can't get the V+Remote into programming mode so that the remote will control TV volume. The old remote was easy to do and in fact still works the V+ box for everthing but recording.
With the V+ remote when I press Volume+ and Mute at the same time as per instructions I just get a steady light and then after about ten seconds that goes out.Is there a way to do this or is the remote at fault.
Would appreciate advice from a Tech Guy if anyone know's
Thanks in Advance.

Re: Programing a V+ Remote.

I'm getting V+ in 3 weeks time, so would also like an answer to this.

Also are the TV codes that you put in to the remote control the same ones you use for the normal digital cable remote control ?

My TV is a Bush LCD TV. The one on the back page of the Argos.

is that the HD model? I've been looking at that but I thought maybe it's too cheap for a HD set. I'd appreciate your comments, and is it easy to set up and connect to the V+ box?

Yup, it's the HD model, but i don't have the V+ box just yet (another 3 weeks yet) so can't tell you what it's like for the picture quality in HD. Also when i went to Argos to buy it, they said that it might not be the exact one on the back page of the book. The one i've got isn't because it's got two scart sockets. As a normal TV without the V+ box, it's a very nice TV though and the picture quality is good.

Re: Programing a V+ Remote.

Hi All,
maybe I didn't express what I was saying clear enough. I'm getting the instructions OK. It's just when it says to press Volume+ and mute and wait for it to flash twice it just doesn't do that. It's just a continuous light that goes out after ten seconds. It's just not going into programming mode for some reason. It's not that important I know. Just a little niggling that it won't do it. I reckon it's the remote that is at fault. I'll just have to use two remotes. Will still kook to see if anyone has the same fault.
Thanks All,
George.
