Question Is my 4MB speed correct?

I've just upgraded with Virgin Media from 2MB to 4MB and I don't see any significant increase. Is the above result what it should be?

So was mine, my brand spanking new 10mb connection has however not got off to such a good start...

Latest result

I am getting really pee'd off - the only thing that has changed is the change from STB to SACM (250) and the 4mb to 10mb, and it halves my speed!! Anyone know whether this is a modem issue, or maybe because of splitting the signal?

hot off the press....

just off to destroy my pc.....

Just out of interest have you tried disconnecting the STB and just have your modem connected ?

There are eight bits in a byte.

There's no standard for the engineering units for bits or bytes but generally
b = bit
B = byte

So, 10 Mbps = 10/8 MBps = 1.25 MBps = 1250 KBps.

STB has been off all the time (still connected - but off) - would be interested to see if not using a splitter would have any effect - but don't have the inclination to go through spagetti junction behind my tv again...
