Re: what wireless modem/router will be best for me?

to the forum!

I have a Linksys WRT54G router and I flashed it with DD-WRT so I can increase the power signal from it. I get signal from the end of my street now...

I think for DD-WRT, the recommended one on this forum is the Linksys WRT54GL (WRT54G v4)

Same here

DD-WRT provides VPN server facilities too

Re: what wireless modem/router will be best for me?

Buying a router that is designed to have a long range power signal is probably better than the Linksys with DD-WRT firmware, but more expensive...

I'm afraid I can't honestly say, because I've never bought or used a long range router before...sorry...
