Linksys Software or Windows?

My Linksys WRT54GS should arrive tomorrow. Exciting!! Just a quick question: Should I forget using the Linksys software and just let windows manage the network?

Re: Linksys Software or Windows?

What Linksys software? AFAIK, the disk just contains the manual for the router.

Re: Linksys Software or Windows?

Fair enough. I haven't used the Linksys software recently, but I tend to just let Windows manage any wireless networks. Generally, it does a good job.

Re: Linksys Software or Windows?

Yeah, I agree with Stuart, the Windows software is good enough.

Ahh ok... assuming the cd dosnt force you to install it all (like mine does) then you should be able to use the built in wireless software on XP/Vista as advised above.

Even if it forces you to install the software you still get the option to let Windows manage wireless networks, right?

Re: Linksys Software or Windows?

I think XP installs the driver automatically, so you probably won't need the CD at all.
