Question about network
I have a network at home ( 1 computer and 3 laptops ) and 2 mbit speed internet. Is this speed divided by 4 or just this speed is shared ( if one user uses 1 mbit 3 others get 350 kbit ) ???
In this case is it going to be useful to upgrade to 10 Mbit ? Because my internet is very slow so i have no idea is it gonna help me ?

Re: Question about network
How your spped is shared can depend on what is being downloaded, and what the router allows per connection.
Upgrading to 10Mb can mean in real terms that each PC has more bandwidth available to it if all are downloading at the same time.

Re: Question about network
If you are going through a router the Internet connection will go to whoever is using it most.
eg. If someone on one computer is downloading a huge file it will slow it down for others on the other computers.
Some routers allow you to set up or use software to control the download rates for each users.
If everyone on your network is using the net quite heavily at the same time then upgrading to a faster speed may help.

Re: Question about network
Make sure all PCs are clean and protected and then when your connection slows down find out which one is hammering the connection. Simple things like setting windows auto update to run in the early hours of the morning and blocking software from phoning home for updates can make a difference.
If one PC is downloading from a good source it may be slaughtering the download bandwidth or you are P2P'ing then you may find it's the upload killing you.

Re: Question about network
That's a wireless G router, so it should give you 56Mb. Plenty for a 10Meg connection.

Re: Question about network
I have 6 clients on my LAN and I have the 10Mb connection, routed through my Linksys WRT54GL. It works brilliantly, I get good speeds all over the house from all machines, even the wireless ones.
