Hols Recommendations?-Turkey?

We are looking for a holiday bookinbg but cant decide where. We usually go to various Greek islands. We like nice beaches, good food as found in tavernas,simple/tasty/good quality. We usually self cater. .We dont want high rise hell and boom boom disco either. Greek islands weve been to> Kefalonia loads of times, ithaca,Kos, and quite a few others. We have never been to Turkey. Can anyone recommend somewhere that fits the above description but in Turkey??

Marmaris is the place to go, it is very friendly, lovely beaches, plenty of night liife if u want it very child friendly. A bit like Spain before it became too commercial. We go every year, me, daughter and grandaughter. I you fancy an experience break for 3 days in Istanbul, a wonderful city with loads of places to eat and a history going back to time immemorial.

Its not in Turkey but its really good.

I can highly recomned this place.

http://romanzahotel.com/

You can read reviews on it here.

http://www.holidays-uncovered.co.uk/frames.htm

It is a beautiful place, North West part of Corfu run by a family and the village is called San Stephanos. You will find it in the portland brochures. The views are stunning.

Re: Hols Recommendations?-Turkey?

Marmaris was my worst nightmare of a holiday ever - please don't go unless you like Blackpool in the sun!

I got robbed by hotel staff, was robbed during daylight hours and everything is overpriced and had an accident there where i had to use the local hospital facilities - may i never moan again about NHS healthcare lord!

The men are extremely sleazy no matter if you're already with a guy which can be quite intimidating and quite frankly it smells and is dirty.

The best part of Turkey IMHO is Bodrum/Gumbet. I've been going to Turkey to various resorts since 1997, and in my experience you won't find better there.

I like the look of turkey, but i'm afraid of leering blokes, Anton's aunty got seriously ill there over a year ago and is still having treatment, and I side with Armenians.
