Netgear WPN824 VPN Problem

I have a 10mb Telewest connection and have just purchased a Netgear WPN824 (before discovering these forums unfortunately).

I'm having problem with the VPN pass through, I can make a connection to the vpn but am unable to run RDP and access my work servers wirelessly, if I use the ethernet cable from the modem in my laptop it works fine.

The router is new and has the latest firmware.

Has anyone come across this problem before ?

Re: Netgear WPN824 VPN Problem

When you say wired with modem - Do you mean you are dialing in with your modem over a phone line? Or you plug your machine into your new router with an ethernet cable?

Re: Netgear WPN824 VPN Problem

I've managed to solve the problem, I changed the router for a Netgear
WGT624 v3.

For those who use PPTP for your VPN which is encapsulated in GRE then this is the router you will need.
