Strange things are happening!
I have a Linksys WRT54GS and remote router management is disabled. If i go to the address 192.168.1.1 i can then log on to the router which is fine. If i go to the address which is my dyndns address for example fred.homeip.net on a machine that is on the lan side of my router, my understanding is that im going out onto the internet to dyndns to resolve the ip address and then returning via my routers external ip address. Therefore im expecting that i shouldnt be able to log onto the router.
But i can
if i run a tracert to my dyndns address i only get a single hop, from my pc to the router. Where is the cache that is telling the router that my dyndns address is infact the router itself?
