Problem with Picture! GTV42P4

Can anyone help.

Im using a 42" Plasma TV and I am getting "sparklies" through it. This appears to be power source related as it happens even through th DVD, STB or Terrestrial. I havent tried to isolate it yet, but apparently my TV has an Engineer Menu which I cant access due to not knowing how! Does anyone know, or can you help with a possible reason why im experiencing this problem. Thanks.

Re: Problem with Picture! GTV42P4

well dont check that menu.

1st of all...how you connected to your equiptment..if via Scart check that there aint any power cable running along side it?

2nd if its a cheap scart cable (ie supplied with tv,dvd, telewest box) then the shielding on that isnt all that great I would look into getting better cables that are shielded, and I know belkin networking gets slated but Scart cables are really good just look for the Pure AV brand, it does cost a couple of squids but well worth quality.

www.pureav.com/uk is the link./

unfortunatly I dont know much bout Plasma tv's but 99% of the time if you have pixalation even with a tft monitor its due to a power supply to close to any of the cables.

Lightbulb Re: Problem with Picture! GTV42P4

Yeah, me too !! I thought that but these TVs do have problems with the internal PSU.. Time to put the warranty to the test I think !! lol

Ii have tried a different power source, it does reduce the noise on the screen but its still there. I think it is the internal psu.
