slow boot-up

The lights on my cable modem are taking ages to settle down. I timed it at almost 3 minutes. Everything works OK after that. I'm sure it took less than a minute up to a week or so ago. This only happens on the first boot-up of the day (varying times but generally around 6-00 a.m). It seems about OK after that. I thought it might be something to do with getting a router recently but it happens even with that by-passed.

I haven't managed to ask any neighbours to carry out any tests yet. I notice on the Service Status Page that there is ongoing work for the 5th of November. The slowness started before that though. Is anything else known about as regards area work/upgrades (GU12 area) that would cause the trouble, or is it 'phone NTL' time again?

Modem model number: 60194E-A12

Re: slow boot-up

I have had this too.
Modem used to boot up in about a minute but now takes about 4 minutes to settle down....It's as if it is re-downloading firmware on each boot up.
Once this is done, it is fine for the rest of the day.
No idea why this happens as everything works fine after that.
