Confused of which leads to use. Re DVD

Confused of which leads to use!?!

I've bought a JVC DVD Cinema surround 6.1 system.
I am trying to link up the DVD, TV, and Video - but the video is short of sockets. Help, TV and DVD works great but can I join Video to DVD via a Scart to s video lead? and if so does that then need the audio leads?
Thanks for any help - Darren

DVD - JVC THA75R
1 x scart
s-video sockets
audio sockets

Video Recorder - Panasonic
1 x scart
audio sockets

TV - Panasonic
2 x scart

Re: Confused of which leads to use. Re DVD

best bet is SCART all the way:

one SCART, DVD to TV
second SCART, VCR to TV

i'm not gonna attempt any ascii art after last time...

EDIT: i'm assuming you don't want to record from DVD? probably wouldn't work anyway, but you never know...

EDIT #2: to the site!

Re: Confused of which leads to use. Re DVD

Cheers for that. However (clarity not being my best attribute) would I, with the set up you have said be able to then watch vids and have the sound via my surround system?

Re: Confused of which leads to use. Re DVD

according to this your dvd player has an audio input, so you could also run an audo cable (or cables) from the VCR audio out to the DVD audio in.

should sort it!
