XP backup

Hi, decided to do an xp backup (via the systems tools menu).
I went to advanced mode and chose C drive, system state and my documents. Its finished backing up (took about 35 mins, i only use about 4 GB on my c drive), and the finished file is just under 3GB in size.
Is this adequate? I originally asked it to do a fully backup but 4 hrs was a bit over the top.!!!!
Will it have saved my outlook settings (ie the most difficult thing to usually get working again!?) and all of the other most important things?

Thanks.

Re: XP backup

I find file document transfer wizzard to be far more effective , Usualy the size of 1 cd and save only mist important stuff.....Not all the crap ,.... Svaes Pics songs documents, IE settings outlook emails and adresses and is just as easy to put back as it was to back up........

Off course all your programs will need to be re-installed by you but your data is in 1 easy to use file....

Re: XP backup

I personally use norton ghost and take back ups of the whole OS,what you have done should have saved what you need but for the sake of the extra gig I would have gone whole hog
