Trouble setting shared internet access with 2 comps using NTL broadband>

Before Ntl I had bt broadband, which was a simple straight INTERNET connection from my main computer to acess broadband. I setup a network between my 2 comps and got shared internet access.

Im using the dialup box with phoneline/cablttv/broadband all in 1. Ive got my network running fine but my seconadry computer can no longer gain internet access via the network.

For the network i used the following ip adresses
Main comp - 192.168.0.1
Seconadry = 192.168.0.2

I think the guy on NTL technical support line said they need to be *detect ip adress automatically* but if I do that the network is unable to establish a connection between my two computers.

Any help/advice would be much appreciated
thank you
John

Those should sort you out, to the site.

[Edit]-It would be easier to just get yourself a router (wired or wireless) to do this.

"You will need to configure IP information on the client to use DHCP."

How do I do that, I think thats the only thing I havent done.

Re: Trouble setting shared internet access with 2 comps using NTL broadband>

Ok>>

Im using an ntl box connection

- First computer work fine with internet
- Second computter cant gain internet access
- Both computers can communicate fine via network

Ive tried shared internet access on the NTL and also with the network both still fail to give my 2nd comp internet access.

I guess ill try re-installing the network, how do I delete the network? Seems like such a simple question but i cant right click delete :-<
