Aberfan Photos To Go On Show

[carlingman]

Well this tragedy happened before many of us here were born (myself included) but has relevance to myself and probably some of the other Welshies here.

I lost family members in this and my late father was involved as one of the many rescue members.

But some photos captured by an American photographer are to go on show and the story can be found here

A link to some of the photos can be seen here

The thing that freaks me out is this happened on the 21-10-1966 and if you add these up i.e.

21
10
19
66
-----
You get 116

Which was the number of children killed in this disaster.

I was only 1 when that happened but I was told about it from a very early age due to my dad being a miner, I shudder to think what went through the minds of people and children on the fatefull day back in 1966.
