Power level problem?

Hi,

For the last few days, I've occasionally been loosing the cable modem connection.
I've got an Ambit SACM and what happens is the Sync and Ready lights go out.

If I power cycle the modem, it gets as far through the boot up as a solid sync light and a slowly flashing Ready light.

After about 30 to 40 minutes, it seems to recover.

Here's the configuration page power levels at the moment (i.e., when it's working). Is this the problem?

Downstream Receive Power Level : -5.70 dBmv
Downstream SNR : 32.83 dB

Upstream Transmit Power Level : 52.25 dBmv

Re: Power level problem?

Hi melevittfl,
Yes it looks like your power level is a little on the low side, in any case if you are loosing the sync and or rdy lights then there is a network problem on ntl's side and you should report this via the technical support line who can then arrange a fault engineer booking. Nothing you can do about this except check all your cable connections are tight to the modem and wall just to make sure they have not come loose. Hope this helps.
