the eu wants to impose vat on childrens items ranging from shoes to clothes but chancellor gordon brown has told ministers he is not willing to introduce taxation (vat)
"We will not allow taxation to be imposed on children's shoes or children's clothes. It does not make sense," he said.
but the EU proposes that not having VAT distortes trading in the EU basically subsidising sales........
Europe telling us what to do again, they are after our pensions, after our Oil and now they are telling us to charge VAT on Kids clothes. Any one got a bomb to throw over there????
Cause the rest of Cloud Cuckoo Land pay VAT on everything, kid's clothes, food, newspapers, bus and train fares and they are trying to bum it on to us, to bring us into line with the rest of the idiots. They actually have been trying for years, but they haven't succeeded yet!
Now I prefer less taxation and less social services, but it seems Europe think otherwise. Think about it this way. You get WAY more social services than we do.
