Question Digital Cable Audio Quality

We've just 'migrated' to digital cable and are experiencing problems with our audio. It is very sibilent and sounds lke the bass has dropped out. Telewest have replaced the box 3 times, and are, I think, at a loss as to what to do next. It's obviously not the box, but their response is that we have 'audio quality of a sort'.
Has anyone experienced this before? What can I say to Telewest to convince them the problem might be somewhere else?
Many thanks!

Re: Digital Cable Audio Quality

to the site!!

is the box connected via scart if so try a different scart socket on the back of the TV or if you have only one try a different TV to eliminate a scart problem
