Bundles ?

Simple question I hope.

After endless problems with my NTL phone line
http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/sh...947#post403947

I'm looking at moving to BT. Can I keep my NTL ISP services and TV service and just cancel the phone line ? Or are they a fixed bundle.

Re: Bundles ?

If you have the NTL phone line removed you will still have to pay for it as it is a condition of having DTV that you also take the phone line. The only way round this would be to cancel both DTV and phone and move them to BT and Sky or Freeview.

I would take the advice of th'engineer given in the other thread if no NTL employees who frequent this site come along soon and suggest another remedy.

You can keep the broadband on its own though, of course.

Re: Bundles ?

I have analog TV and dial up access (no BB). I'm happy with both services but not the phone line (15+ outages in 3 months).

To be honest I'm not bothered about the TV but I would like to keep my existing e-mail address and webspace. Is the ISP service linked to the phone line or TV package ? or can I continue with my dial up access via a BT line ?

Is there another way I can keep my e-mail address and webspace without the phone line ? I have been considering BB subscription anyway.

Cheers

Alastair

Re: Bundles ?

I would switch from NTL dialup to NTL broadband. You will find 300k broadband far batter and more convenient than dialup and it doesn't tie up the phoneline. Dialup costs £12.49 per month whereas 300k BB costs £17.99 but there is an offer on for the first three months at £8.99. If you are thinking about NTL BB I would sign up for the 300k ASAP as if you wait too long you may have to go for the new 1Mb service with ultimately a 3Gb per month cap. 3Gb pm may probably be enough but only you know what you will be using the connection for.
