Re: Gmail is it any good
Good time to ask actually, most if not all gmail users should have 50 invites as of the end of last week.
I use it almost exclusively now.
As far as the interface goes, I've seen nothing that gets close to it (although deleting could be easier)

Re: Gmail is it any good
It always pays to have a backup email account. I've not had any problems with the service, the spam levels are quite good on mine (0 so far lol) and the storage that you are given is extremely handy for keeping copies of documents or emails that you need to keep while re-installing your O/s etc.
Now that Gmail has POP access it's even easier to use

50 I have 5 and that's as many as I have ever had since I got my initial invite to join Gmail Seems I keep getting missed for new invites
Agreed though, the drop down menu system is a bit of a drag for deleting if you use the web interface.

Re: Gmail is it any good
If you think that the deleting could be better, that you would rather delete the spam folder etc in 1 foul swoop then please use the help system & contact the gmail team about it.
It is only if many people mention it that it gets bought to thier attention.
Deleting spam etc is the only problem I have with Gmail, otherwise I think it's great.
As for 50 invites, I must have hundreds with all the accounts I have, I have all of them forward to 1 account.

Re: Gmail is it any good
Can't complain. I've had mine since Blogger offered it to me months & months ago. Handy and easy to find stuff, despite it's size. I seem to spend most of my time archiving, however.
