Re: Free P2P
Well I discovered Ares at the weekend, however sinice getting lightening speeds on saturday I have been unable to connect since sunday evening.
I tried Croc files too unable to connect.
Exeem seems slow and shambly but is only a public beta.
Shareza was good but now is slow as hell.
I dunno, take your pick, try em all

Re: Free P2P
DC++ as its more commonly known is known for you having to share about 20gb to get into the best channels.. and with companies in the art of catching p2p masters such channels are magnets to them.

Re: Free P2P
not quite as 'easy' as p2p programs.. a little more involved but well worth the effort would be newsgroups.
ive tried kazaa lite, imesh, bearshare, dc, and various bit torrent clients ( found azureus to work best for me..) but after the initial fumbling with newsgroups i've found em to be great..fast too.
aint a heavy downloader and find newsbin pro as a client has been excellent..and i use <link removed> to search for content.

Don't use Kazaa.
Kazaa Lite used to be OK, but isn't really much good anymore.
WinMX is good, as is EMule.

Re: Free P2P
I'll second eMule....great for larger files, but you have to remember that it only works well if you're sharing quite a lot and downloading a lot at the same time.

Re: Free P2P
Get yourself a bit torrent client (I'd recommend AZUREUS) and get yourself over to <link removed>.

Ive had no problems with Shareaza www.shareaza.com
No duff files so far either and if you cancel a download it lets you give a reason which is then public for all to see.

Re: Free P2P
OK people, now remember the rules. You can discuss P2P clients, but you may not share links to online catalogues of torrents, links or whatever. This is because the vast majority of content at such sites is warez, and we do not allow promotion of warez on this site because copyright theft is illegal.
So, keep it clean and I won't have to delete this thread.
