I want a pet...but I dont know what!!
Hello there,
I would like some form of pet. I would not have enough time for a dog or a cat and my partner says a Budgie is out the window as it cheeps too much. Also no hampsters or gerbils or things like that!
Any Ideas?

It might help if you told us why you want a pet.

I don't think I will ever have another pet.
I've had some success (and a great deal of satisfaction) from keeping Bonsai trees though, perhaps you could consider something like that.
Alternatively, if you really must have an animal (or animals), you could go for something colony based. I'm thinking ants, worms or sea monkeys.
Raist.

Cats really dont take a huge amount of time. Mine sleeps most of the day and night and comes to me for food, but when she's awake she's really affectionate and enjoys a hug, takes the stress of the day away etc. They dont cost a huge amount of money to keep as some people seem to think. About £5 worth of food a week and a bag of cat litter (£2 ish)

Snake, tortoise, spider, some kind of reptile?
One thing to think about is what happens with the pet when you are on holiday, etc. Maybe a cyberpet fits the bill.

Re: I want a pet...but I dont know what!!
I live in a small flat so a dog is out.
My partner and I live a pretty much 9-5 existance now....we used to work a lot of shifts. During holidays we have someone that would be willing to look after any pet we had.
Why do we want a pet? Because we would like a little something else in our lives (not a baby )

Re: I want a pet...but I dont know what!!
Most reptiles are very expensive to look after as are tropical fish because they all need heat.
An iguana is a cool thing to have but it cannot be around children.

Yes, I know you ruled it out but think again, There is nothing like having a dog, a real dog not one of those toy like ones, labradors or hunting dogs are good, best friend you can have, as long as it has room to play and run about freely that's what matters, definitely unsuitable for flats; look after them and they will look after you.
