Telewest Increases No Admin Fee No Cap!
So NTL Telewest announce speed increases automatically to ALL punters.
NTL ask for £25 for existing users plus a cap.
Me thinks NTL will soon be changing it's mind.
Also NTL / Telewest merge circa OCT 2005 (top level insider NTL).

Yes, but you get twice the speed per £ with NTL... we've been through this lots of times already.
On this one, NTL good, TW bad.

Re: Telewest Increases No Admin Fee No Cap!
u cant just conclude that ntl are good and telewest are bad. i think ntl are bad and telewest are good but thats just my opinion. everyone is entitled to their own view and everyone maybe have different feelings about either of the company.

Re: Telewest Increases No Admin Fee No Cap!
I just dont see the point of increasing speeds, then banging a cap on it.
Seems NTL want browsers, not people who download.
As ive mentioned before, i would rather pay a bit more and not have to worry i'm overdoing something.
I have 2 lads who have access to the other pc [connected via router] and they like to d\load anything from game demos, wallpaper, music and the eldest one no doubt, porn.
I cannot be bothered measuring what all of us d\load all the time, to me the best company would think about me, the paying customer.

Re: Telewest Increases No Admin Fee No Cap!
The 11th commandment (not widely publicised as the tablet was dropped on the way down the mountain):
"Thou shalt not start any more cap threads".
This commandment is actually described in the Bible thus:
And the Lord said, 'discusseth ye not the cap, for they who bite from the cap that feeds them shall be punished by eternal fire, brimstone and outbound sales calls. Let there be no cap threads, and the world will be made good". And Lo, there WERE no cap threads, until the seventh day, when the disciple UDT did bangeth on about it for all eternity. And the Lord said 'bugger this for a lark, I'm not doing any more work on the world while this crap's going on". And so he rested, and declared the seventh day the sabbath, and forever made it holy.
And that's how it happened.
I realise there are alternative versions of the story, but this one's legit.

But Telewest and NTL dont cover the same areas and therefore are not in competition are they?

So it makes the whole comparison of NTL and Telewest pointless really
