Error finding file for virtual Truck Setup
Hi i wonder if anyone can hellp on my old pc that i ran windows 98 i connected to NTL via an usb to set top box connection.I recently bought a new PC with windows XP Home Edition i decided to connect with an ethernet card, when i ran the broadband installer it wouldnt load so i tried doing it manually as i had seen via a link on this website.I have an internet connection but when my PC boots up on the desktop i get an error message that says Error Cannot find file neccessary to continue Virtual Truck Setup: E:/Installs/PaceEth/V Truck.exe. Can anyone shed light on this please.Regards cornwell777.

Well i can get rid of that messgae for you - just follow these instructions
1. Quit the installer:
2. Right click on the †˜Startâà ¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€Š¾Ãƒâ€šÃ‚¢ button
3. Select Explore (Windows XP you may have to select Explore all Users)
4. Double click the †˜Programmesà¢ÃƒÆ’¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢ââ‚ ¬Å¾Ã‚¢ folder
5. Double click the †˜Startupâà ƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚¬Ã¢â€à …¾Ã‚¢ folder
6. Remove "VTAgentReboot.exe" (Right click and Delete)
7. Restart the Computer
If the above fix doesn't work:
8. Search (Windows + F key) for the VTAgent file on the PC. This file is normally located in a Temp folder.
Delete VTAgent file and reboot.
or
9. Click on Start and go upto Run
10. Type in the Box msconfig and click on OK
11. Select the win.ini tab
12. Click on the plus sign (+) for the Windows Folder
13. Remove the tick from "run=.........VTAgentReboot...."
14. Click on Apply then OK
15. Restart the Computer

Re: Error finding file for virtual Truck Setup
Perhaps not for the faint hearted but the method I've used to get around this is to remove the one line of the registry that keeps looking for the darn file. As others have said - best off using ethernet and not using the cd.
