Have you....
Just thought I'd ask those still with ntl if they have ever upgraded or downgraded or remained on the same speed tier.
And if you have upgraded/downgraded have you ever looked back?
Over to you.

Re: Have you....
I voted for my dad as he's still with ntl - and in the same area as me.
He's on the lowest level and seems to think it's perfectly ok for him.
When I was still with ntl I was always bouncing between 600k and 1mb.

Re: Have you....
I used to have NTL dial-up when it was free which I used with a dedicated second line. WHen NTL stated charging for dial-up it became cheaper for me to go on 150k BB than it would have been for me to keep dial-up and the second line.
When i got my permenent(ish) job last year, I upgraded to 600k and have never looked back, don't think i'll ever go up to 1 meg, don't download enough to need it, and the free speed upgrade in the summer will maked a tier jump even less likely.
edit: Mick, maybe you need to edit the poll and add a "upgraded from dial-up" option.

Well ain't we all upgraded from dialup at some point , the poll is mainly about upgrading and downgrading whilst being an ntl broadband customer.

Re: Have you....
I started on the 600k because the 1M was £49.99. When this came down to £34.99 I upgraded. Now looking forward to my 1.5M (yes, at £37.99)

Re: Have you....
When I first got ntl cable , I started on 600k, after a while I got a bit miffed at my upload, and saw the 1Mb as good value for money, Now im looking forward to getting 1.5Mb, and dont mind paying the extra for it

Re: Have you....
I think if I was still with ntl I'd be going up to the 1mb service. If the Bedfordshire area is sorted out by xmas when my 12months with tiscali are up I may even come back

Used to be on 600k all the time.
Now .... where's the "upped and left because of bad service" option?

Re: Have you....
Dialup to 150k - had intended to wait until the discount (£5) dialup was over, but took a 2 month free + free install.
If I move at all, it'll probably be away from NTL, but the breakeven time for ADSL (buying kit, paying activation) would be quite long, and a cheap ADSL might be even worse than NTL.
Now to go and have a moan about the news servers, on a go-slow again!

Re: Have you....
I upgrade to 1mb after starting out months ago with the 600K service. I have downgraded back to 600K (from Monday 31-05) due to the price increase - Con merchants!
