my modem
Hi all - igot the ntl bb service the day it was out in my area must be about 4 years ago now.

i originally rented the modem and decided to pay teh 25 quid a month.

after 4 years and buying the modem about 4 times over id like to get out of this plan anyway of swapping to the cheaper "i have my own modem" service?

i could cancel and then reorder it on that service i spose.

No discounts for own your own anymore.

In fact if you own your own and change plans you lose the discount and cannot ever get it back. So a complete disincetive to own. The modems now cost NTL less than £25 each, so are not really a cost part of the service.

the only plan offered now is the rental option, there is no discount even if you are using your own modem.
