Problems with NTL and DFNCIS news server?

I've been having big problems over the last few days retrieving headers from the DFNCIS news server (a popular server for text groups, usually much better than NTL's one). I can log in OK, but only a few (if any) headers manage to crawl in before the connection hangs completely.

I usually use Gravity as a newsreader, but I'm finding the same problem with Forte Free Agent, so I don't think it's a client problem. The server seems to be working OK for others using different ISPs - I use NTL's STB broadband (128K).

Are any other ntlworld users here using DFNCIS? If so, are you experiencing the same problems, or is everything fine for you?

Cheers,

I use news.cis.dfn.de with 600k broadband and I've had no problems recently.
