There will be some on here that have Tivo and many many more that don't have it but are miffed because they were each promised to be amongst the first - and are clearly not.

Not quite coming soon to virgin but sure this will interest people on here, HBO on Demand is still on BTvision and it will show Boardwalk Empire as well as other SkyAtlantic shows. near the bottom is where it mentions Boardwalk Empire
http://www.btvision.bt.com/tv/the-be...-on-vision-tv/
How have BtVision still got HBOonDemand and we haven't?

They (BT) get the programming 1 year later than Sky Atlantic. BT must have a long term agreement with HBO. VM's ran out just before Sky atlantic was launched.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2011) Vol. I.
Ok this is what i was on about:
As you may have read already, We'll soon be offering all our VIP 50, VIP 20 and XL TV customers (who also have Virgin Media Broadband and Phone) the chance to become one of 1000 lucky customers to win a special TiVo deal. You will receive information about this prize draw over the coming weeks , giving you the chance to win a complimentary TiVo box.
The first prize draw was also a random selection from a list of our VIP customers. As you can imagine, we can not give a complimentary box to our whole base, so a prize draw is the fairest way we can approach this.
We are also continuing to prioritise our existing customers to make sure they are the first people in the country to get a hold of this fantastic new service.
So if you do not get one this time the ranting will start again.

personally i dont think people will rant so much about this because they are actually being told in advance that it is happening ... the biggest problem about the previous tivo lotto was that people only found out about it because it was posted on the internet by lucky customers
the thing that hits me about that email is the part that says ... "over the coming weeks" ... suggest that the rollout is gonna take ages and the second draw wont be for a while yet and those already signed up will be included ... from someone who hasnt even been contacted yet this appears to just drag the process out longer and longer

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2011) Vol. I.
20,000+ customers being interested and an as yet limited installation team means this is going to take until Spring at the earliest IMHO, the issue is nobody wants to be last in the queue of even the initial 20,000 existing customers who have signed up.
VM were planning a launch for new customers in April but I wonder if demand is really getting ahead of their capability to deliver?
