Are you trying to say you have a Nexus 4 running Android 2.2?
No, my Nexus runs 4.2

My point is that the 'fragmentation' issue you raised isn't an issue with a decently coded app.

If VM were to release TVA and it didn't run OK on 5.0 then, well.....I'd be disappointed in the development team working on TVA.

53% of devices are on at least 4.0:

2.2? Wow lol....That must be a crappy handset (Ignore me,I'm a tech head and currently have a Nexus 4, a Galaxy S4 and a iPhone 5) but that's not what this thread is about, its about TV anywhere which currently only runs on iOS.

Incorrect, they also sell Blackberry,
The point being still that they're not providing apps for their own mobile customers.

I agree, it is silly, SkyGo runs on Android but only on SOME devices. I know I get peev'd when 1 day it works on our Nexus 7 Tablet and the next it stops working due to an update until Sky just give trying. It ALWAYS works on our iPhones and iPads.

Re: TV Anywhere App

Well, its the end of May.

The sun is out. The Android version of this app isn't.

Maybe June (2013) will be the lucky month.

Maybe they will release it on the 1 year anniversary of TV anywhere being launched, which is only a few months away.

Re: TV Anywhere App

Virgin can add all the new channels they like but it's still a shambles that there isn't an Andriod application.

It's not as if you are missing out, the channels are available on the web for everyone...

They aren't playable on android tablets. That's the point of the anywhere app. To watch programs on the go.

This is the one thing that is really getting me is the lack of the Android version of this app.
Later this year, just get it out there FFS.

Re: TV Anywhere App

They seem to take ages sorting anything to do with apps. The TIVO Twitter App has been down for over 6 weeks. Talk about taking the mic.

Nope, rather less fragmentation so easier to develop for. Even the BBC say so

The BBC doesn't unfairly prioritise Apple's iOS platform when it comes to iPlayer updates, the Beeb's regulatory body has decreed.

In response to a complaint from 2011 that was escalated to the Trust last year, the watchdog has decided that the 'complexity and expense' of developing apps for Android means it's only fair that updates arrive later.
