You can't blame Virginemedia because Google constantly makes changes to its operating system Android. Android is a fragmented mess of an operating system.
The problems google make Android, then the different phone manufacturers have to butcher it to make it run on crappy £50 phones an the app makers have to update their apps. The Google update it again, an half the apps stop working. Less then 10% of Android phones even run on Jellybean, most are still on gingerbread. So everyone crying for a android version probably won't be able to run it if virgin build it to run on jellybean.

Sorry, but that's nonsense:

There are apps I'm using released for 2.2 which work just fine for 4.2 Jelly Bean.
And let's not forget, large parts of this app already existed! And has done for several months now. By comparsion, it took the BBC around 3 months to release the Android version of the BBC Sport App after the iOS version - and that app was written from scratch.

And yet TiVo have had a US app out since January. Of last year. App developers all over the world cope with a fragmented os and differing screen sizes.
Besides which, Virgin were confident enough that they could do it that they said they'd have it out in the first part of this year. Target missed and not a hint of an update.
Sorry, but whilst I see your point, genuinely, I have to agree that it simply isn't good enough, and is made worse by the fact that Virgin only sell android handsets. The very people they're letting down are their own quad pay customers.

2.2? Wow lol....That must be a crappy handset (Ignore me,I'm a tech head and currently have a Nexus 4, a Galaxy S4 and a iPhone 5) but that's not what this thread is about, its about TV anywhere which currently only runs on iOS.

What, like a Nexus 4?
You've missed the point - a properly written app for 2.2 can work just fine for 4.2.
I'm well aware that TVA is on iOS. This thread (as far as I'm aware) covers all versions on that app on all platforms.

I had an S3, I gave it my nephew, you're right its a great phone. Although the back is the cheapest thing on any phone ever made lol. An that horrid Pentile Amoled screen with over saturated colours just made it unusable to me.

Are you trying to say you have a Nexus 4 running Android 2.2? Becuase the Nexus 4 shipped with 4.1 Jellybean and has since been updated to I think 4.1.2 Jellybean. Jellybean is not all that good and project butter is better but still not great.

Re: TV Anywhere App
All said and done the app once again is not working again tonight, the MRS is a huge let down and makes me regret swapping my Samsung V+ for a 2nd TiVo. So for Android people your not missing out
Correction it's working now! But shows you it's hit and miss.
