Watched a bit of it, like you I don't like the show though.

Anyone know of any other 3D 'events' or shows coming up?

How often do VM change their 3D content if at all?

It may be the fact that you seem to take notice of only the part that supports whatever hobbyhorse you are on at the time that may make it "rubbish" - there was no corroborative or supporting evidence to back up your/their statement.

Not everyone likes 3D when you have to wear glasses. 3D will only fully take off when you can watch 3D without glasses.

For example I not going to put on 3D glasses to watch Discovery 3D on demand.

Have you read this ?

SKY is investigating its 3D TV technology after viewers claimed it made them feel sick.

The channel has been available for only six months, but some subscribers said they have been left dizzy and disorientated.

Others complained they suffered from headaches and double vision.

Now Sky has commissioned a special report amid mounting health fears over the 3D experience.

It comes two years after cinema-goers complained of motion sickness and vomiting and headaches after watching blockbuster Avatar – the movie which inspired the push to three-dimensional viewing.

Karen Sparrow, from the UK Association of Optometrists, said: “Even when you stop watching 3D your brain is creating a form of binocular dysphoria, which can last a few seconds but perhaps for longer.

“If the dysphoria lasts for a noticeable period this could lead to the nausea, dizziness and disorientation that the manufacturers have concerns about.”

BSkyB has deals with Hollywood studios including Disney, Universal and Warner Brothers to show their 3D films. But its website has little mention of health risks.

The American Association of Optometrists has found as many as 25% of users report eyestrain, blurred vision, dizziness, headaches or nausea after viewing.

Medical websites have warned people who suffer from epileptic seizures or strokes to seek medical advice before being exposed.

Pregnant women, insomniacs and the elderly have also been advised to avoid it until approval is given.

The fears extend to computer consoles with experts warning against children under six using the new Nintendo 3DS, saying it could damage their sight.

It's funny how I've watched hours of Sky 3D content with no adverse effects I'm sure people who've seen VM 3D OD wont have either.
