Get rid of broadband too see if something like bt infinity is available in your area bt do tv too but not sure what their remotes are like.
Or try talktalk or Sky, i'm short sighted and found Skys remote easy to use when i wasn't wearing my specs.
Just a few ideas for you to try.
In my eyes VM are *******s i have my reasons though as to why i hate them at the moment.
