Go to something you have set to record in the EPG and press the Info button then you will see what I mean.
Admittedly only happens on things you have set to record but I sometimes check on the details of that showing and basically I can't

As with any announcement about upgrades i never trust them till i see them. I still remember the NTL coming soon promise over dial up to stop me leaving that then took them 2 years to provide

because they could be working? At a wedding? Praying at the mosque? Deposing the body of the ex-wife? Someone else using Tivo at the time to catching up on Eastenders.
There's a million and 1 reasons. Not everyone spends all day on social media and news sites.
I rarely watch live sports but watch them 'as live' so I don't know the result. It's pretty easy to avoid results if you want to watch something at a later time/date.

I had to do it every week with "The Voice" as I rarely watched it Live as I didn't have the time.
