Does TiVo set reminders?
 

ok just upgraded to vip and got a tivio box thinking i was getting a better box this isnt the case on my old V+ box i could say highlight a program starting at 7pm and just press ok and at 7pm ud get a message on screen saying its about to start nice and easy, now i got this tivo how do i do the same thing as its a new more advance box surely this is easy ??????

This feature currently is not available on the tivo boxes. I think its coming soon if i remember correctly.

will my box just update when available or will u need a latest tivio box?

Tivo does not have reminders as yet. Could a Mod please correct the title of the thread or merge it with an appropriate thread please?

No the box will receive an update, you wont need a new box. Glad to be of help :)

As TiVo has three recordable tuners there isn't a need for reminders. However they are being worked on and will be added in the future.

i know what ya saying that you just record the programs u want to view but then that means a few more minutes messing around to delete the program all of which id rather not

To be more accurate, the minority who expressed a preference wanted the feature :)
