Re: Price Changes from 1st February 2007

If I read those PDF documents correctly I should be in for a reduction of £9.48 but somehow I doubt that happening.

I currently have base pack, 3p Plan and 1MB BB which costs £40.49.

The value pack PDF states that 3p plan with TV size L and BB size M is £31.01, but knowing what NTL is like I doubt my price will drop.

Are these new prices only for new customers or for existing customers as well or have I got it all wrong?

The PDF lists all the value packs that have ever been offered in the last year. It does not just list those that are currently available.

The nearest value pack currently offered is:

Re: Price Changes from 1st February 2007

Well, I'm now totally confused. I've just received the price structure leaflet with my December bill, and it shows the 'Talk Unlimited 24 with DTV Family Pack and 10MB' renamed as 'Talk Unlimited with TV size XL and broadband size XL', exactly as per the PDF on the NTLHOME web site (presumably the same as linked to in the original post), which claims to be the one sent to customers.. HOWEVER, the copy sent to me shows the current price as £57 and the new price as £58.01. The PDF shows the current price as £68.49 and the new as £69.50.

Before I waste 30 minutes or so trying to get through to CS, anyone know if the is a price reduction, or simply a 'printing error'?

How is the weather in Mombay then? Something to talk about, as they did not know whether it was (another?) a typo or not ...

Did you get the Talk Unlimited + Family Pack + 10MB for £58.01, as per the printed leaflet, though?

Re: Price Changes from 1st February 2007

Well that was remarkably painless - £11 reduction - just have to wait and see what the next bill actually says now. Be interesting to see whether I've just got an £11 discount, or have been moved to the Value Pack @ £58.01.

I get Talk Unlimited + Select Pack + 10MB for £24.99

Call 0800 052 9403 (Mon-Fri), the customer Relations number (option 2), Coventry based, mention you are considering the Sky BB offer, could they match it?

In another forum, there was a compiled list of the customer Relations team but I cannot find it. If recall correctly, Sarah gives the best discounts but Matt or Mohammed, will call your bluff and offer you to disconnect.

Re: Price Changes from 1st February 2007

TBH I'm not trying to get the best discount - I know many people like to do that, and thus increase the prices for the rest of us. However, when I get a printed leaflet stating the package price is £11 less than what purports to be the SAME leaflet on the NTL web site, I feel perfectly justified in asking to be put on that reduced price.

But if you do, don't complain about the poor service or the fact that CS are in Mumbai; can't have it both ways.

The Indian Tech support was fine when I used it once.

My neighbour has the SKy pack for that money (14Mbps BB, yes close to the exchange). Market forces, my friend.
