Re: Disconnects

I'm having the same problem in Southampton. I have a Linksys BEFW11S4.
After the 24h lease expires it does not automatically renew - like it has done for the last year. I have to manually renew from the router's status page. Problem only been around for the last week.

Anyone got any info ?

Re: Disconnects

It is a real shame that we are having these problems seems to be Bromley Platform looking at the areas.

Bromley is usually reasonably good

Also STB related so got to be wonder if our DITV friends have been doing updates that change the BB config somehow.

24 hours? mine always says it is '7 days'... would that cause any problems ( mine has always been like this, in fact when I first started on the trial it seemed like the lease was 2 hours, but reported as 7 days... as i found i would lose the connection every 2 hours, turned out my firewall was blocking the incoming 'renew now' message from the DHCP server...

Re: Disconnects

I have been having to reboot the SACM and Linksys router recently to get the internet back. It has dropped it while it was in use at regular times. Only the last few days.

Manchester area again.

Be warned, the Belkin routers arent "High quality", I had two and neither of them worked very well and both had problems more than you described.

Re: Disconnects

I think it depends how you use the belkin tbh, I used to keep all that up to date, but I know im the type of internet user that gives my connection a hammering, The belkin couldnt cope with that.

Re: Disconnects

I've been having "Internet Connection Problems" for the past few months.....seeing this thread has given me a thought the renew could be causing the problems. I have noticed it more in the last couple of weeks - where the router and STB has had to be restarted....

I can't see it being the router (Netgear MR314 - Wireless) as I can ping and access the admin pages on the router fine.....just can't access the internet....

I'm in Portsmouth, with a STB CM.......

Can anyone official give a status ?????
