I've just bought some printer cartridges from them. The VAT thing only applies for items under £18, which is why they sent me 2 cartridges in 2 separate envelopes. I suspect that with expensive items it depends on whether or not HMCE decide to pick on you or not; I'd prefer not to suffer the suspense!

Well, it wouldn't cost me anything to email them, I suppose. And, yes, I understand the UK-based bit; as I said, I'm not after the lowest price at any cost. If I could save £20-30, that would pay for a second battery.

Re: Internet Camera Firms

I've been priced matched by Jessops twice, once for a digi camera and against internetcamerasdirect.co.uk - no problems didn't even bother about there 25 mile radius rule.

The 2nd time I had a little more fun, Sony camcorder in Jessops was 1045 I had it in a catalogue (albeit staff offers) from a company in leeds for £650. When I first went into J. in Hudds, they said they could not match it that low and offered it me for something like 780 with 2 free tapes. I said that they "Match" so they went down the it's outside 25 miles - maybe I said but I am happy to drive to Leeds Jessops and get it there - In the end and a threat of advertising standards they matched the price.
