Re: Reducing my VM package, pricing options?

I don't remember anything coming through the post.

Whenever I ring Retentions I have in front of me on the computer the current package prices to compare with the deal they are proposing.

Re: Reducing my VM package, pricing options?

hmm.. it might be worth asking. you're most probably on a new contract when agreeing new terms though.

Re: Reducing my VM package, pricing options?

All these discounted deals with Retentions come with at least a 12 month contract. Should have received a letter in the post which would mention this anyway, be it a clause buried somewhere saying by agreeing to new terms (i.e. package) a minimum term of 12 months applies, as thenry states.

I recently changed to a similar package (L TV for me) with a discount for 18 months but a minimum contract period of 12 months.

Always renegotiate. I got Phone M, TV XL with TiVo, and 152Mb for £55.99 for 6 months, then £60.99 regular price.

No not yet, i can't do anything for a good few weeks, but i will when the time is right as i want my bill down to around £30ish from £77 and i will do this by cancelling TV and reducing broadband down to 50mbit(soon to be 100mbit in free upgrade).

---------- Post added at 16:02 ---------- Previous post was at 15:33 ----------

What is the point of keeping Telly if it bumps the price up, i said i was probably going to phone retentions anyway as it starts a new contract.

Edit
You deleted the post i quoted.

Re: Reducing my VM package, pricing options?

sorry i was looking at the deals. heres a break down on offer..

uswitch deal...
£4.00 x 8 = £32
£17.50 x 4 = £70
£16.99 x 12 = £203.88
50meg + m landline 12 months = £305.88

Promo code - £50 = £255.88

Add line rental saver for £164. - £39.88 = £216

option.. you can do the uswitch deal online then add line rental saver via 150.

VM site deal...
£5 x 12 = 60
17.50 x 6 = 105
16.99 x 18 = 305.82
50meg + m landline 18 months = £470.82

Add line rental saver for £164. - £39.88 = 430.94

promo code - £50 = £380.94

considering the uswitch deal above and retentions being able to offer better theres little point ordering via the web.

Re: Reducing my VM package, pricing options?

again sorry ive never used the tool, i just saw the existing customer option. the uswitch deal ends in a day. if your issues are that you are out and not home to make the 150 call from your VM landline then call

0800 0643 840

option 4 (accounts) > option 2 (home services) > option 1 (tv,broadband, homephone) > option 2 (number you're calling from is different to your VM account) > enter VM landline number including area code > 4 (make changes or moving) > option 2(remove services)/option 5 (thinking of leaving)

Re: Reducing my VM package, pricing options?

Strangely i think i had a call earlier from Virginmedia retentions on my mobile, the number was 0800 052 2160, i missed the call, can anyone confirm if that is the retentions number and i wonder how they knew i was thinking of changing my package, possibly because i clicked it on the website?
