to be honest mate that is like reading French for me, can you make simpler for idiots like me?!

what did you make of the message I got from the Virgin Forum saying that the downstream power level is unacceptably high? I've noticed a few others getting told the same thing on that forum.

Re: problems since the new firmware release - only today

I don't know if this is the same issue but over past hour or so I've had problems.

It start around 3am On Demand doesn't work, internet is on but either slow or doesn't load. All happened over an hour but then started to work fine. My service has been fine today until about 6pm then I had problems. Seems to be back now but others have this issue. I have Tivo and a D Link. I got an engineer booked for Tuesday hopefully is sorted soon.

I believe there is work in progress on the system?
Just been pinging bbc.co.uk, getting silly with pings of 200+ from Leeds.
Now settled down to like 12-15.

Re: problems since the new firmware release - only today

Apologise perhaps i miss understand or my English is not good

1-
I had also slow internet before some time...now seems fine

2-
The modem having green light or flashing for long time it means is trying to lock at any available channels(EDIT - for me each reset usually it locks to different channel) ...it happened to me (as well) waiting for over 30 min before(not today) but at the end came back to blue after 30 min...so what i meant is it should be back to blue even if it takes longer time...so don't worry

3-
about power levels according to your first post what i have understand ... you got PM from a mod at VM forums saying you need an engineer visit, to fix your power levels because are high

at post 13 you have post your power levels and to me looks power levels are low(but with in limit) and not high

again forgive me if i did not explain better before

Like I mentioned earlier, I think network are tinkering with the system.
Will give it another half hour to see how it eventually pads out.

Re: problems since the new firmware release - only today

seems everyone has problems then.

others in Scotland on another forum are also claiming to be having problems.
