Re: New TV

plasma may use more electricity for brighter scenes but its variable unlike an LCD or LED.
so you can't really compare properly unless you have all 3 side by side with the same content and an electricity use monitor.

for movies and sports I'd go for plasma every time in 42" and above

go check out AV forums for more reviews

Re: New TV

I aint disagreeing with ya but the LED backlit TVs use the least

Ive got a 40 " bravia I am very happy with my next tv will be 50" 3d so it will most likely be Plasma

meh, its over rated if you're used to it on a PC monitor.

personally i've seen 1080p LCDs that just looked washed out and dull and seen a Panasonic 720p 42" plasma look so much better on the same source.

resolution is great, but accurate colours are what gets me liking a TV set.

less than impressed with 3D TV so far. the Samsung 40" was nice and all that but I liked the Panasonic 50" better. would love to see the LG Infinia 3D range.

probs cos I have an eye astigmatism and I don't get the full benefit of it unless I wear my glasses under the 3D glasses
