This is what amazed me the other day when I heard about drivers still truing up at the bridge at Workington, expecting it to be there, because their satellite navigation told them to go there. Were these people living on a different planet for the weekend?
It's a sad fact that a great many people have no interest in anything outside of their own little bubbles. I have a friend that never watches the news or reads a newspaper.
Some silly person moved the barriers, and then some other drivers got sent over it by their sat navs.
The majority who went over were not locals.
It has been sorted now, no one will get over it.
Hey Lucy, saw pics of Appleby under water - such a shame. I'm sure the bridges will be affected there too??
