Re: Ebay problem
All this sounds like yet more evidence never to use eBay for anything, ever.
To me, it's a con-merchant's charter.

Re: Ebay problem
It's the sellers stupidity in not realising that the money is simply in ESCROW. Once the item is recieved it will be released to him... In the end a rule that simply makes it easier for PAYPAL to get the money back from con-men, but unfortunately will catch out a few genuine members

You are partly right but then they must have gullible people to con in the first place.
I'm looking for a cheap MP3 player.so I searched on ebay. One offer was for an Ipod with software errors and needing a new battery and they want £19.
The other has two broken Ipods suitable for spare parts and wants £40.
No thanks.
Also I don't want an Ipod I want something that isn't apple related..but can I find any? Not a chance. It's all Ipods at £200 + or mobile phones which I also don't want

Re: Ebay problem
These days, it's the only place to find phone-related stuff like batteries and USB leads and chargers at affordable prices. I could go to the market stall but the prices are about 2 or 3 times what eBay-ers charge. That said, I would only go to the market stall for unlocking my phone, at least that way I know it's done. £10 to unlock most phones, £15 for those needed to send off to unlock.
