Soon to be surpassed by the "coming soon of HD channels"

Hi all,

Spoke to CS at Virgin media and they were very helpful they instantly put me up to 10 megs and suggested their best package and to ensure me they do value existing customers. The only thing i am uncertain about is the new download speed. I tested it on http://www.broadbandwatchdog.co.uk/speed-test.php and could never get the download speed above 4.2 Megs throughout the day. This is through a belkin wireless router with all other applications terminated. Is this result genuine? or are these typical or, are other factors involved like PC, virus checkers router? Please help as I am confused.

Regards Chris Lewis

Did you try the speed test without your router out of interest?

You are lucky. I never get above 3 Megs at any time. That's on a ethernet connection, router and hardware firewall removed.

Have given up complaining to VM after 8 years of doing so.
