Yep it will do, take the USB out and put it to the side, you don't need it. Go ahead with the reinstall, if your PC works straight to the Ethernet with no issues, it'll be fine.

Just to let you all know that it worked. my system is fully restored and the net is still workin so thanks to Graham M and everyone for their advice.
