Still to get more info from insiders.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 1.
I have just received an email from VM offering Picture Box at half price £2.50 for three months. I guess Netflix & Love film are having quiet an effect. Looking at what Picture box offers I am not surprised.

Why can't they hurry up and give us what many customers want and that is a chance to subscribe to Lovefilm or Netflix.

That's two half price offers and a freeview month recently. Surely the beginning of the end.

Its been doomed from the start as the overall quality of the films on offer is very poor.

Well it's been going for a while so some people must be paying for it. As somebody who once paid a subscription for film4 I feel adequately qualified to assert that fools are easily parted from their money!

...And that's a recommendation? Doesn't sound like 'good stuff' to me when everyone's seen them and one is duff!

I just don't get why anyone would be waiting for these to be added to Tivo.
First of all, the Netflix service you would get on Tivo would limit you to UK Netflix only. On a non Tivo Netflix device, for an extra £3.20 a month, using a service such as Unblockus, you can access all Netflix regions and the need for Lovefilm disappears because there is so much Netflix content available. There are even the first seasons of a couple of Sky Atlantic shows available, i.e. The Borgias and Blue Bloods.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 1.
Because the US TiVo already has Netflix, so all they need to do is change the odd thing as its done. I'm sure the Amazon Video on Demand app isn't too structurally different to other LoveFilm apps either.
Essentially its so little effort for these companies, why shouldn't we have the apps?

Don't disagree, and the Tivo Netflix apps is one of the best. But it's been a long time coming and non Tivo Netflix apps offer the advantages I outlined.

Its only available in the US on TIVO's bought from TIVO not TIVO's through a cable operator , that's the big difference.

You don't see a senior employee (Mrs. Rose) of Comcast, Dish, etcetera, talking about a Netflix app though.

Got them on remastered blu-ray, and they look and sound way better than on film 4HD. To be honest most films on film 4 ive either seen hundreds of times, or are total classics and i have them on blu... I bet most serious film buffs are the same.
