ordered broadband
hi people i ordered the 1mb broadband from ntl on there website last week. i got told they would send me info by email for when i would get connected up. "at the mo im not an ntl cutomer" so far ive not receved any emails or letters from them. ive send them emails but ive still not had anything sent back.
at the moment im with btbroadband only ie no phone just broadband so i can't get intouch with them and i don't like the idea of standing in a phone box for hours.
i need to get the info for when i will get connected so i can canel my bt acount
can anyone tell me what i should do next
thanx

hang around for a friendly mod to pop in , or go and stand in a phonebox , if you pick your time of day right , i.e. mid morning i find good you shouldnt wait long , tbh i find very little wait time for c.s. , it is t.s. that can take a while
btw welcome to the site

Re: ordered broadband
Have to agree with Paul on that one - you shouldn't have to wait too long for CS - especially as you'll be wanting the sales guys, they always pick up fast. Unfortunately tech support does have a long wait at the moment so don't choose that option and don't get transferred.
Plus it'll be a free call - 0800 0522000 listen carefully to the options, don't get bored and pick at random.

Re: ordered broadband
Sales is on 0800 183 0123 - they're probably the better people to phone. The online ordering just sends an email to sales, but how fast that is depends on how many emails your local customer service dept has waiting.

Re: ordered broadband
Mornin' jester54970
If you PM me a contact number I'll get someone from sales to give you a call
[edit] Thinking about it, it's probably best to contact 1 of the mods, just to be safe

Re: ordered broadband
i think after all this waiting around we are going to stay with b.t
after all my girl/f did spend 10-15 mins filling in the details on there website. so if they can't spare abit time to send us an email or letter to confirm the order well what else can i say.
ntl just lost a new customer. perhaps they should sort out the customer services or who ever deals with there on line sign up.....
i don't see why i should mess around. going to the phone box to ring them. when they already have the order. we not wasting any more time with them...
anyway
thanx for the peoples replys who tryed to help

just one thought for you , it is possible that your details have been genuinely lost , but then again you might be doing the right thing
